Terms of Service
Last updated October 11, 2026
These terms cover joining the waitlist and attending a MeetTheStreet gathering. By submitting the waitlist form you agree to them.
What we are
We organize small social gatherings in New York in small groups. Part of each gathering is games and conversation at the table, and part is low-stakes street exploration with content designed by a licensed NYC tour guide. We are not a dating service.
Joining the waitlist
Anyone 18 or over may join the waitlist. Joining does not guarantee a spot because seats are limited. If a gathering suits you, we send a personal invitation rather than a mass email, and you have 72 hours to claim your seat before it goes to someone else.
Provide accurate information on the form. We may remove a signup that contains false information.
Paying, and getting your money back
Tickets vary with the activity, typically $40–$60 per gathering. The exact price is shown before you commit to a seat, and joining the waitlist is free.
If you can no longer make it, tell us as early as you can so the seat can go to someone else. If we cancel an event, you get a full refund.
How to behave
The entire point is that everyone in the room is there for the same reason. So: be decent to the people you meet. Harassment, discrimination, and aggression get you removed from the event and barred from future ones, without a refund. This is not negotiable, and we do not need to litigate it with you.
Anything you learn about another guest at a gathering is theirs, not yours to publish. Do not photograph people who do not want to be photographed.
Photographs
We sometimes take photos at events and use them on this site. If you would rather not appear in them, tell us at the event or email us afterwards and we will leave you out, or take the photo down.
Risk
Our gatherings involve walking around New York and doing ordinary things in public places. You attend at your own risk, and you are responsible for your own safety and belongings. We are not liable for what other guests do.
Changes
We may change an event’s activity, venue, or timing. We will tell you if we do, and you can pull out and get your money back. We may also update these terms; the date at the top says when they last changed.
